Tell us a little bit about yourself…
My name is Brigitte. I am a 23 year old from the Gold Coast and I’ve always owned and cared for animals my entire life. I work in a Pet Store as a Puppy School trainer and I hope to own my own business in the near future. I love all animals, I have a Border Collie, 2 snakes, an Albino Darwin Carpet Python and a Children’s Python, and a 300L aquarium. As long as I’m working with animals, I don’t feel like I’m working.
What course did you study with Upskill Online? How did you find it?
Dog Training and Behaviour. I found it informative. It was easy to understand and I learnt a few different methods in how to approach training.
Are you feeling support? What’s your favourite part of your studies?
Everyone replied to emails quickly. All assignments were marked quickly and any feedback was easy to understand. My favourite part was being able to include my own dog in assignments.
Did you find a job within the field your studying? If not, what are you hoping to get into?
I did the course to get a better understanding. I worked in a pet store previously but wanted to have more information to be able to hold a puppy basics class. I will be opening my own training school once I have a few more things sorted.
Do you have any advice for others looking to studying online?
The course is easy to understand and any help needed is readily given. Studying online can be more difficult for some people, however the course is laid out quite well and it’s easy to navigate.
