Tell us a little bit about yourself…
My name is Ebony, and I am currently studying the Dog Care and Training Certificate. I developed a passion for dogs at a very young age and my dream job would be working in a doggy day care or animal shelter.
How are you finding studying online?
I find it easier to study online because I have more time to study at my own pace and I like the flexibility. I feel more comfortable that way.
Are you feeling support? What’s your favourite part of your studies?
I feel there is a lot of support and it’s easy to speak to someone online. I enjoy doing the online quizzes after each unit.
Did you find a job within the field your studying? How has the course helped you within your career?
I have found some work with the Greyhound Adoption Program. My role there includes looking after the greyhounds, feeding them, taking them for walks and speaking to people about adopting greyhounds.
The course has provided me with more confidence and knowledge to look after dogs.
Do you have any advice for others looking to studying online?
Doing some volunteer work while studying and doing your own research helps with the course too.
